Ken Simon

Ken Simon, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Compliance Officer

Ken Simon has more than 40 years’ experience as a judge, litigator, and mediator. Ken worked for several years in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement in Washington, D.C., where he was an Assistant Director of Enforcement as well as Branch Chief. He is a member of Best Lawyers in America, the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, Alabama SuperLawyers, Mid-South SuperLawyers, the Academy of Court-Appointed Masters, and is a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation and the Birmingham Bar Foundation. His law firm, Ken Simon Law, is recognized in Best Law Firms in Alabama. In 2017, he received the MLK Dream Keepers Award for Social Justice, as presented by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

Vijoy P. Chattergy

Vijoy P. Chattergy, CAIA, Chief Investment Officer

Vijoy P. Chattergy brings over 25 years of experience in financial markets with stints in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Mr. Chattergy served in leadership positions with public, private, and nonprofit sector financial services entities, covering major asset classes such as equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and alternatives. From 2011-2018, Mr. Chattergy was primarily the Chief Investment Officer at the multi-billion dollar Employees’ Retirement System of the State of Hawai‘i (“HIERS”). Recognized as an innovator and thought leader, he restructured the investment program and office, improving performance to become atop quartile performing pension fund. He earned an MBA from Cornell University and an MSc from the London School of Economics.

Gerry Flintoft

Gerry Flintoft, CAIA, Managing Director & Alternative Investments

Gerry Flintoft possesses 30 plus years of experience as an alternative investments and private equity portfolio manager and consultant. Previously a Director, Alternative Investments with PineBridge Investments, he advised clients on portfolio design and construction that included developed and emerging market private equity, private credit, and hedge fund seeding. He previously served as an Investment Officer at Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA), a leading $50 billion US public pension fund. He earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from UCLA.

Michael Mitchell

Michael Mitchell, Controller and Manager Research Analyst

Michael Mitchell has over 5 years of experience in the finance and banking industry and joined Consequent Capital Management in 2021. Prior to coming to Consequent, he worked at Regions Banks in accounting and operations and later with the Alabama Department of Human Resources as a Claims Investigator. Mr. Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance in 2009 from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Michael enjoys volunteering in the community from his prior background in community organizing.

Ta’Shawne Cathey

Ta’Shawne Cathey, Investment Consultant

Ta’Shawne Cathey serves as Investment Consultant at Consequent Capital Management, LLC overseeing clients in the Atlanta and Southeast market. She has experience in performance reporting and manager due diligence and client relations. Ta’Shawne has over 25 years in Finance and Accounting industry and has served in various leadership roles including serving as a Corporate Controller, Vice President of Human Resources and Finance. She also has extensive knowledge in Performance Measurement, New Business Development, Strategic Planning and Staff Leadership. Ms. Cathey attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
